The Clay County Sheriff's Office dates back to the 1800's and has a rich history of service to this community.  In addition to the information contained on this site, we encourage you to visit the Clay County Archives office in Green Cove Springs off of Highway 16 West and the newly renovated Old Jail, also off of Highway 16 West.  There are many displays, documents, and books that can provide in greater detail information about our county and our agency's place in history.
