Clay County Murder Victim Identified

Clay County Sheriff’s Office Robbery-Homicide Detectives positively identified the murder victim related to the case involving Kenneth McBride, the suspect whose arrest was announced at yesterday’s press conference.

The victim is Roberta A. Laws, a white female whose date of birth is 10-13-62. No family members of this victim could be located. She was identified through a photograph (attached) shown to acquaintances. No additional details regarding the exact cause of death will be released at this time.

As thought, Laws shared the Myrtle Street residence where her body was located with murder suspect Kenneth McBride.
