SAFE BOATING CLASSES OFFERED
The Coast Guard Auxiliary in Green Cove Springs in concert with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office holds FREE one-day Boating Safety Classes one Saturday a month from 9:00AM to 4:00 PM at its base of operations off State Rd 16E in the Reynolds Industrial Center, 910 Roland Avenue. This course satisfies Florida’s mandatory requirement that a person who was born on or after January 1, 1988, operating a vessel powered by a motor of 10 horsepower or greater (including PWC’s), must have completed a boater education course approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) or passed an approved equivalency exam. Those born before 1/1/1988 can also benefit from the valuable information imparted by the Auxiliary’s knowledgeable instructors. The January class is full.
