Youíre in Command
As a boat operator, you're in command of the safety of your passengers. But, accidents can and do happen with terrifying speed on the water. There's rarely time to reach stowed life jackets. Thatís why U.S. Coast Guard and USCG Auxiliary challenge you and your passengers to wear your life jacket all the time while underway.
Research shows that life jackets could have saved the lives of over 80 percent of boating fatality victims. The USCG Auxiliary in Green Cove Springs presents their last two free Safe Boating classes of the year on Saturday September 28th and October 26th at their headquarters in Reynolds Industrial Center, SR16E. Successful completion of the one-day course earns the student a Florida Boating Safety ID Card. This license to operate a boat is mandatory for all boat operators born after 1/1/1988.
Seating is limited and reservations are required. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call Neil Rattrie at 904-378-6232 to register and ask how a free vessel safety check can help you navigate through problem situations.
