There are a variety of civilian (non-law enforcement, non-corrections) employment opportunities that arise during the course of any year at the CCSO. EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS OPERATORS Salary range of $23,884 and up with merit increases after each phase of training. ECO's take complaints, use phones/fax/pagers/computers, use CAD system, distribute mail, answer 911 calls, use TDD, and answer questions from the public. Minimum qualifications include typing 35 words per minute, possession of valid Florida driver's license, high school diploma or GED, US citizen, no felony convictions, at least 18 years of age, must pass drug testing and be ogood moral character. Benefits include uniforms with laundry service, supplied equipment,annual leave, sick leave, paid holidays, health and life insurance, college tuition reimbursement program, and state retirement. EOE, drug-free workplace. L.P.N. Full-time ($17/hr+) and part-time ($21/hr) positions available, working in the Medical Section of our Detention Facility.
