Part-time Bailiff – MUST be Florida certified Law Enforcement or Corrections Officer. 32 hours per week / $14.00 per hour. Brief Description of Duties: A Bailiff’s work involves maintaining the security, health and welfare of inmates as well as court personnel and members of the public who are conducting business at the court house. Minimum Qualifications: Completion of approved law enforcement or corrections training and certification in compliance with the requirements of the state of Florida. Possession of a valid Florida driver’s license, high school diploma or GED, citizen of the United States, at least nineteen (19) years of age, no felony convictions, no misdemeanor convictions involving perjury or false statements, be of good moral character, must pass a drug and physical examination. Physical Effort Required: Bailiffs / Court Security Officers may be required to use bodily force to gain control of inmates, be able to run, protect him/herself by employing defensive tactics, and administer first aid. Performance of these tasks can involve maximum physical exertion with little or no prior notice and possibly for extended periods of time. Brief Description of Duties: The Detention Deputy’s
work involves maintaining the security, health and welfare of inmates
confined to the Clay County Jail.
Minimum
Qualifications: Completion of approved corrections training
and certification in compliance with the requirements of the state
of Florida. Possession of a valid Florida driver's license, high
school diploma or GED, citizen of the United States, at least nineteen
(19) years of age, no felony convictions, no misdemeanor convictions
involving perjury or false statements, be of good moral character,
must pass a drug and physical examination. Physical Effort Required:
