Clay County is growing by leaps and bounds and with that growth comes some increased traffic concerns. Traffic safety and enforcement is a top priority. The CCSO Traffic Unit deputies work around the clock monitoring problem and high traffic areas of the county.

The CCSO Traffic Unit maintains a stepped-up patrol list. This list represents problem traffic areas based on citizen complaints and is continuously updated. Streets or areas on the list are then targeted for increased traffic enforcement coverage in an effort to curb speeding and careless driving behavior that endangers other motorists.
