As a detention deputy with CCSO, you’ll maintain care, custody, and control of our inmate population and security at the Clay County Jail. Learn more and apply for a job in our Detention Department today!

Duties: You will be responsible for maintaining care, control, and custody of detainees.

You must escort and return inmates to and from their cells, subdue and control disorderly inmates, resolve inmate disputes, and respond to inmate incidents. 

Duties may include seizing and reporting found contraband and non-authorized items, patrolling work areas, and completing intake, booking, and release processes.
