Sheriff Daniels Going Door-to-Door Again to Combat Crime

Green Cove Springs, Fla. Feb. 8 – Sheriff Darryl Daniels will host another Neighborhood Walk in Orange Park. He will go door-to-door in the Cheswick Oaks area to talk with residents on Feb. 10 at 4 p.m. Many in the community have expressed concerns about an increase in property crimes. The walk will begin in the 400 block of Sherwood Oaks Drive and will include the surrounding area.

“We received a very positive response from the inaugural walk. Residents in Clay County talked one-on-one with us about what was really happening in their neighborhood. They also saw results and know that the clock is ticking for those who commit crime in our county,” said Sheriff Daniels. “This community engagement effort will help reduce crime and keep our streets safe.”

Sheriff Daniels and deputies with the sheriff’s office will conduct Neighborhood Walks throughout the year. They will also host meetings with business, community, nonprofit and faith-based leaders to improve community relationships and reduce crime.
