Sheriff’s Deputies and Police Officers Partner to Combat Crime
Green Cove Springs, Fla. Sept. 27 – Two agencies, one county. Deputies with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Green Cove Springs Police Department will join forces for a Neighborhood Walk. They will go door-to-door in the city of Green Cove Springs Thursday, Sept. 28, at 5 p.m.
Residents are invited to join them as they listen to issues and concerns. The walk will begin at Walnut Street. Officers, staff and citizens will then head north on Citizen Street to Forbes Street to West Street North and back to Walnut.
“We must work with our partners to combat crime in Clay County. We have been able to connect with the community during our monthly Neighborhood Walks. We have also gathered useful information that have led to arrests. Teaming up with the Green Cove Springs Police Department further demonstrates that we’re all in this together,” said Sheriff Darryl Daniels.
“We’re excited for the opportunity to work hand in hand with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office. This walk is just one example of agencies joining forces for the betterment of the citizens of Green Cove Springs,” said Chief Derek Asdot, Green Cove Springs Police Department.
