Registration Underway for Basketball Camp

Green Cove Springs, Fla. June 5 – The Clay County Police Athletic League (PAL) is taking its Summer Basketball Program on the road. It will host mobile basketball camps at three area high schools. Youth, 10 – 18, can register for all camps or pick one that will stop in their neighborhood. The cost is $20.

“We are taking PAL resources into our community. Not all children can get to us, so this is a great way to ensure they experience some of what the program has to offer. The mobile basketball camp also helps the Clay County Sheriff’s Office bridge the gap between kids, parents and the community,” said Sgt. Keith Smith, Clay PAL executive director. “We are keeping kids off the streets and providing positive activities and programs that benefit us all. These are examples of how Clay PAL is implementing Sheriff Darryl Daniels’ main initiatives – community engagement and crime reduction.”

The Clay PAL Basketball Camp will be held at the following locations:

  • Oakleaf High School: June 19 – June 30
  • Orange Park High School: July 10 – July 21
  • Clay High School: July 24 – August 4

The mobile camps will run Monday – Friday from noon to 5 p.m. You can register at any of the sites or at www.claycountypal.com. Participants can attend all six weeks!
