There are two main ways to obtain a permit from the state of Florida to carry a concealed weapon.

Visit the Clay County Sheriff’s Office Headquarters in Green Cove or the Clay County Sheriff’s Office Operations Centers in Orange Park or Middleburg to pick up a free information packet and application.

This packet includes the required fingerprint card. Clay County residents can have their fingerprint cards completed for $5 at the headquarters Monday through Friday by appointment. Once completed, mail the application packet to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. You can call (904) 529-6090 to make an appointment.
