The Clay County Sheriff’s Office encourages everyone to practice safe walking habits when crossing streets or walking along roadways (preferably on a sidewalk).

When a street crossing is necessary, we ask that pedestrians, regardless of age, follow basic safety.

Our agency works in partnership with Clay County District Schools to provide school crossing guards at school zones in the county. We hire and train all the crossing guards.
